"What you did to the least of these, you did to me." Although Jesus said many things, His clearest concern was for the vulnerable. The vulnerable include our veterans, seniors, children and families.

Ad blitz totaling more than 1,150 spots across 5 states quotes scripture and highlights moral nature of the budget.
Washington DC--Today Catholics United released a series of radio ads thanking Senators in five states for supporting a budget that invests in “that which is good for all people.” The “Thank You for a Moral Budget” radio ad is airing across Virginia, Missouri, North Dakota, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
“As the economy worsens, Louisiana will need all the help we can get,” said Fr. Louis Arceneaux, C. M., native of New Orleans. “That’s why people of faith across the state give thanks to Senator Landrieu for supporting a budget that will serve everyone – not just those at the top. This budget includes a just tax system in which everyone pays his or her fair share. It is a decidedly moral document in that it invests in health care reform, public education, clean energy jobs and more post-Katrina relief.”
“Catholics and people of faith give thanks in the spirit of Easter for those who supported the budget,” said James Salt, communications director of Catholics United. “As the far-right work to tear the budget down, many people of faith want to lift it up as a positive measure that will help grow our economy out of recession.”
This radio ad campaign is the largest messaging campaign Catholics United has ever initiated. The radio campaign will run in 5 states, LA-Landrieu, AR-Lincoln and Pryor, ND-Conrad, VA-Webb and Warner, and MO-McCaskill on 36 stations for a total of 1,152 spots.

help the weak…
seek after that which is good for one another and for ALL people
…and in everything, give thanks.”
Today, people of faith across [STATE] give thanks to Senator [NAME] for supporting the economic recovery plan in next year’s budget.
This leadership is needed today more than ever.
Our nation and our families are facing great challenges including record unemployment and astronomical health care costs
This budget will lead to long term prosperity by creating clean energy jobs and investing in health care.
And these investments serve everyone, not just those at the top
For supporting that which is good for all people, we say Senator [NAME], thank you.
